Summer defines people from Minnesota, the outdoors, the sunshine, the water, travel and fun! I remember the days when my kids were little and appreciating each activity we did and still do as a family. That is why we have decided to continue our tradition of bringing to you, the school families the latest and greatest things to do to keep busy during those exciting (sometimes long) summer months!
For the 2nd year in a row, we are launching our Fun2Raise Summer Fun Guide.
“I just wanted to thank you for your patience with helping me
put together my ad in the school directories. Your graphics
department is amazing. This ad is by far the best design
I’ve seen for my programming. Your artwork and attention to
detail is wonderful. Your entire staff is professional
and I have thoroughly enjoyed doing business with Fun2Raise”.
“Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before.”
Well okay, our ventures are not really like that of Star Trek nor are we actual crew members of the Enterprise, but we are taking chances and boldly going places – minus the whole space thing.
While parents, children, teachers and staff spent the latter weeks of summer vacation soaking up every last minute they can, we at Fun2Raise geared up to present local schools and families with awesome back to school projects and raising lots of money for local schools and organizations.
This has been my first “back to school season” with F2R and everyone kept saying “Oh you wait- it gets crazier.
I do not make New Year’s resolutions. In the middle of winter I am just not that motivated. I find that the first day of school is the most motivating day of the year! I do not make any resolutions on that day but I always vow that I am going to get organized.
What? Back to school in July? The back to school commercials are here and fall decor is already showing up in the stores.
It’s so exciting to be writing our Fourth of July Blog about Independence Day from our new offices. It is an amazing feeling as a woman and an American business owner to be in business giving schools and sports organizations funding to do all the things that they want and need to FREE them from the stress of Fundraising.
The last few weeks has seen some major changes for Fun2Raise – we are now 2 years old and have moved into a bigger space! With the move, I can’t help but think about my time at Fun2Raise and back to my first interview with Jodi…at her kitchen table where Fun2Raise was headquartered! At the time, we were about 8 months old and, besides Jodi, there were only three other people at Fun2Raise – one person each for sales, design and accounting.
I did fundraisers when I was a kid. I sold cookies. I sold ads in programs. I did read-a-thons. I remember boxes of World’s Greatest Chocolate Bars that I was supposed to sell. I carried the boxes of irresistible candy bars around for weeks… and ate a LOT of them. All of that hardwork as a child doesn’t even include the countless donations my parents gave the school from our family.
Minnesota families live for summer! And this year it sure can’t seem to come soon enough! We escape outside and to the backyard, as the days grow longer.
